About Us
The Erie County Economic Development Corporation (ECEDC) is a 501 (C)(3) private non-profit established in 1987 by forward thinking Erie County citizens to act as the lead economic development organization for Erie County, Ohio.
ECEDC is governed by a Board of Directors representing local communities and private industry and supported by local governments, private industry, foundations and individual contributions.
Our responsibilities include providing assistance to business & industry, realtors, builders and local communities in an effort to maintain and improve the economic base in Erie County.
Strategic Priorities
Existing Industry – Retain and expand the existing business base in Erie County, Ohio
Local Image & Advocacy – Establish and reinforce Erie County’s image as business friendly and a pro-growth location
Business Attraction – Conduct a business attraction campaign targeted at growth companies in growing industries that have a market reason for Erie County location
Quality of Place – Coordinate efforts with resource providers to ensure that Erie County companies are receiving the best assistance available
Entrepreneurship – Grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem and foster a more robust culture of entrepreneurial excellence
